Daisy Fresh Wales is a brand of skin care and home fragrance products, hand made by founder Amy in the South Wales valleys. Amy's range includes the most deliciously scented candles, wax melts and soaps - plus a beautiful collection of homeware accessories. All of which make the perfect gift or a luxurious treat for yourself!
Please tell us a bit about your business, how did you get started and what do you sell?
I started my business in lockdown, I've always been a creative person and having extra time at home gave me a chance to learn a new hobby. I was gifted a soap making kit and absolutely loved it. This developed into creating more bath products, I loved the fact I could make items from scratch which were kind to my children's skin. What started off as a hobby quickly grew to be a business as friends and family all put their orders in.
The business has grown so much in two years, I now not only make handmade bath products but I also have home fragrance lines and most recently I've added a handmade homewares collection.
What is special about your products?
The ethos of Daisy Fresh is to create handmade affordable items which give the recipient a luxurious vibe. We handmake all the pots our candles come in, no mass produced items here, every handpoured pot and candle is unique.
Making our own pots means we are able to offer matching items such as candle trays and even mini matchstick pots which look absolutely gorgeous styled on your coffee table.
Our candles are made with Soya Wax which is so much better for you and the environment and Vegan friendly too! We try to keep as many of our products vegan friendly including our bath products.

We source as many of our materials locally, using small businesses wherever possible trying to do our bit to be eco friendly and more sustainable wherever possible. To ensure we stand out from the crowd in a very popular market we have developed our own handmade Daisy Fresh candle pots and reed diffuser vessels, these are all handmade by me ready to pour your candles into, and in a bid to be more environmentally friendly and kinder to your pocket we now offer refills for your pots, so once the candle has taken its last burn, simply clean the pot out and pop in a Daisy Fresh refill!
What is your best selling product?
It's definitely candles, even outside of candle season the demand for our Daisy Fresh Candles in our handmade pots keeps me super busy.
Do you have any new products or recent news you’d like to tell us about?
Candle season starts in September, we launched the Autumn 23 Range in September which is available across the majority of our product lines. Christmas 23 is also in the mix with some beautiful scents and sets heading your way! Our gift sets always sell out online but this year I'll be making plenty more to ensure all our market shoppers will have a chance to purchase too.
I'm looking forward to hosting more candle-making workshops this summer, in lots of new locations across the valleys, the workshops were great fun and will be available to book for birthday parties, hen do's and events in the future.
What do you love about Urban Markets?
I have been trading with Urban since April 2022, I have been part of a few markets organised by others and honestly nothing compares to Urbans, these guys are simply amazing.
Everything is so well organised, they take everyone's thoughts into consideration when deciding on new venues, they also ensure every market is as varied as possible - no duplications so traders get a fair chance and shoppers get fantastic mix of different artisan food and crafts. The venues are also fantastic and sometimes it's the simple things like having help to set up and pack down that mean so much. It's a family run business and being part of their markets is like being part of the family.

What’s your favourite Urban venue?
Ooohhhh that's a tough one, I really love the Royal Mint, I also love Zip World as its closer to home for me plus people living in my town loved the market as our town hasn't had anything like it for years.
